Where I Stand
The issues I hear about most.
I live in SeaTac. I work as an HVAC technician and my family runs a small business. I am running because the street is worse, the bill is higher, and this seat has been held since 2013. These are the issues I hear about most.
Public safety
A person with a stack of warrants should not be back on the same street the same day. Enforce the law we already have. Real sentences stop the next crime. The state should back local police, not treat the offender as the client.
Taxes and fees
Families here already pay. If money is short, cut the program that cannot show a result before you add a new tax or fee. Olympia should stop adding a fee every session and then calling it a priority.
Schools
Schools should teach reading and math. That is the job. Everything else comes after a child can read and do basic math.
Immigration
The United States is my home. I respect its borders and its traditions. I do not support illegal immigration or rhetoric that puts other priorities ahead of American citizens. Legal immigration that respects the country is different.
Housing and rent
People pay more and do not feel safer. Mandates without money attached do not fix that. Pay for what actually gets a person indoors and show the number next year. Do not pay for a photo and no result.
Abortion and families
The miracle of life should come first. Reality can be cruel, and abortion should stay available whether I personally like it or not. We need to support families with everything we have, because healthy families make a healthy nation. Free childbirth and real help for families matter more than another program.
Roads and transit
I am for the bus and the train when they are on time and safe. Our roads are full of holes, the paint is bad, and the traffic makes no sense. Fix the road. A report this year put Washington near the bottom on road cost and condition.
Economy
The state should act as a referee, not as a player on the field. Right now Olympia treats business mainly as a source of new fees and revenue. That has to change. A state that wants to lead in jobs, technology, and growth should make it easier, not harder, for people to start and keep a business here. Families and owners already pay enough. They should want to open a shop in Washington, not look at other states. Free market with basic rules that keep it honest. Cut what cannot show a result.
Why I am running
I am 38 and I am not a career politician. The same seat has been held since 2013. One party has run this state for years and does not say when it is wrong. The job is a result, not another program. If you send me to Olympia, I will work with anyone who will make life here safer and cheaper.
A word on labels
State law puts a party letter next to my name, so you will see an R. Here is what matters more: I am an immigrant who became a citizen, I work as an HVAC technician, and my family runs a small business. Whatever you voted before, Republican, Democrat, or neither, look at what has happened since 2013. The same seat, the same approach, and the streets, the bills, and the rent only got worse. If the same thing keeps making it worse, it is time to change it.
